So thinking back to day 1 of the NBA just think of all the talented players that have came through. Magic, Kareem, Wilt, Bird, Isiah Thomas, Kobe, Jordan, Stockton, both Malone’s, Ewing, Drexler, Barkley, Wilkins and so much more…and thats just a small sample. Now try of think of the best backcourt duo, a little harder.
Here is mine…
5. West and Goodrich(LAL)
4. Johnson and Cooper(LAL)
3. Isiah Thomas, Dumars(DET)
2. Frazier and Monroe(NYK)
1. Kobe and Nash(LAL)
So this trade to send Nash to LA gives Kobe one last go at his sixth NBA championship. Nash is a two time MVP arguably one of the best players to ever play point guard and Kobe Bryant is arguably the best player to ever play the game. Now you tell me how that isn’t the best backcourt…Thats what I thought, no response. The LA Lakers have a 5-1 odds to win the NBA championship next season, but I say there odds are a whole lot better…I guess only time will tell. Send me your responses to the BEST BACKCOURT EVER TO PLAY IN THE NBA!
As a basketball fan, a team making the playoffs is considered a good season, but as a lakers fan, no championship is considered a failure. So two years in a row, the lakers got bounced in the second round. Blow the team up? Get a deeper bench? As it stands, the Lakers arguably have 3 elite players on their roster, Pau, Andrew, and of course Kobe. But since the switch from the triangle to more of a traditional offense, the one key piece they lack is a talented point guard. I’m not saying that Sessions is not talented, but he did not show up in the playoffs to say the least. Who’s on the market? Obviously Dwight Howard, Deron Williams, Kyle Lowry and co. So, to say the Lakers have a busy offseason is and understatement. The city of LA is anxiously waiting for you Jim.
Stephen A. Smith said it best
"He’s the best player in the game, its that simple. There is nothing he can’t do. He will defend your best player. He will shoot from the perimeter. He will get all up in your mug. He will do whatever it takes. He is the most complete basketball player in the game today, bar none. He has an assassins mentality. Who’s starving more for NBA world championships, there is no one other than Kobe Bryant."
This is a must watch video if you like the NBA and Kobe Bryant
The number 7 is…..
1) the number of people who must be on the line of scrimmage on offense in football
2) the number you have the best chance of rolling with two dice
3) the name George Castanza wanted to name his child
4) the number of stars in the big dipper
5) the number between 6 and 8
6) the amount of continents in the world
7) the number of games that Metta World Peace is suspended for his elbow to James Harden
So soon we forget that the San Antonio Spurs locked up the #1 seed last year, only to get knocked out by Memphis the #8 seed. What does this mean, a repeat of last year? Who’s coming out of the West? Thunder? Spurs? Lakers? How about the East? Heat? Bulls? Pacers? And the countdown for the postseason begins. It’s time for the NBA playoffs baby! Let’s go__________ lets go! Clap! Clap! Lets go__________ lets go Clap Clap!
